Shatter is a fantastic twist on the classic Breakout formula. It takes the familiar brick-breaking gameplay and adds enough new mechanics to make it feel fresh and exciting.
At first, the game can feel a bit overwhelming. There’s a lot happening on screen, and you’ll need to keep track of several different buttons and mechanics. However, once everything clicks, the gameplay becomes incredibly satisfying and fast-paced. Mastering all of the tools at your disposal makes every level a blast to play.
The boss fights were another highlight for me. They were creative, fun, and engaging, breaking up the standard gameplay with memorable encounters that required more than just bouncing a ball around.
